As you followed him through the chaos of Yetis and elves, he explained to you with a Russian accent that when you arrived, you'd had severe frostbite in your hands due to the fact that the melted snow that your mittens soaked up froze again. Not being able to take it any longer, you swing your legs into the hole, then let yourself fall. Slipping and sliding through underground chutes, you would almost want to laugh, if not for the dark atmosphere that grows the farther down you fall. Finally, you land with a soft thump in an empty room. Quickly, you pull yourself up and run down a flight of packed dirt steps, taking two at a time, until you reach the bottom and enter another, larger cavern. Your footsteps are soft, you yourself can hardly even hear them, but as soon as you walk in, Pitch's gold eyes flick to you as he says, "Ah, here she is! Just the girl I wanted to see!"

Unfortunately, all of us know that we aren't going to be able to find out what Pitch wants until we go. So, we are going… Just not all of us. Well… only [y/n] in particular. I voice this, earning agreement - shockingly - from Bunny, Sandy, and also North. Tooth doesn't answer, but looks away, thinking. [y/n] doesn't seem to see eye to eye on this matter, though.

"Jack, you can't just tell me to sit back and wait when things get tough," she says stubbornly.

It's been a while since I came home to take care of Alex and Taylor. They were asleep just like Chance promised, but I haven't even started to drift off. I'm just so worried about Nic. "So… so you're Jack Frost? I'm… not dreaming, am I?" You ask, a bit dazed. Understandable, after a teenage boy just popped out of thin air and ran you over.

The silver-haired boy grins, saying, "I am in fact Jack Frost, and this is no dream. I can hardly believe myself that you can see me though! I mean, I knew that Jamie's plan would work, of course, but… I'm finally meeting you! Jamie's told me all about you."

"Oh really?" Your eyes slide over to your friend, who shrugs at you.

"You are my best friend after all, [y/n]," he simply says.

"Well, you're mine too, Jamie," you smile.

Jack cuts in with, "Now that I'm here, let's do something really fun, guys!"

"Wait, wait, wait! If you're talking about what I think you are, than that's probably not the best idea…" Jamie begins.

"Aw, come one, what's the worst that could happen?" Jack interrupts. And then, he's taking your hand. And dragging you into the sky.

"Wow, what are you doing?" You shout, beginning to panic as Jamie and the pond get smaller and smaller beneath you. Not that you even dare to look down.

"We're going for a quick flight… I promise it's the best thing in the world!" Jack says excitedly. You panic more, breaking into a cold sweat, and begin hyperventilating as you feel the air getting thinner around you. Jack finally looks at you.

"You okay?" He asks, the cheery light dropping out of his eyes, being replaced with concern.

"I'm afraid of heights…" You whimper before glancing down. Big mistake. You shriek, scrabbling to get a better hold on Jack when you see how far up you are. You can hardly even see Jamie anymore. He's just a speck. You only make the situation worse though. Much, much worse. Your hand slips out of Jack's. Now it's his turn to scramble for you, as you fall. The wind batters at you as you tumble and summersault through the air, screaming until your lungs are sore.

Jack's p.o.v.

'Damn! Why did I ignore Jamie when he was trying to tell me that she's afraid of heights?!' I mentally shout at myself, furious. There's no time at all to beat myself up over it right now though, as I free-fall after her. The difference is, though, that I can stop. [y/n] can't. Her terrified screams fill the chilly air as she rapidly gets closer and closer to the ground. The wind stings my eyes, but I cannot afford to close them, even for a second. I'm quickly catching up to her, but… will it be quick enough? Even I can't tell as her hopeless expression, and Jamie's terrified one come into view. I swear, if [y/n] dies because of me and my stupid 'fun', I will never forgive myself, and I will beg Jamie not to either. And then, it's over.
